Connecting Okta
Use Okta as your SSO provider
To use Okta as your SSO provider, connect your Okta service to Gitar by entering a Single Sign-On (SSO) URL and Audience URI, and sending a Metadata URL to Gitar. You will receive an email from Gitar with instructions on how to securely retrieve these 2 values and send the Metadata URL.
Once you have these 2 values, go to your Okta admin console and create a new SAML 2.0. App Integration for Gitar following these directions. We recommend naming the connection "Gitar" and using this Gitar logo.
Use the SSO URL and Audience URI you received from Gitar in the SAML settings.
Set the mail, firstName, and lastName attributes to user.email, user.firstName, and user.lastName.
Complete the configuration by assigning users and groups to the new Gitar Okta application. Then copy the Metadata URL and send it to your Gitar CSM.
