Overview

The Gitar Slack App posts pull request activity to your workspace, so your team follows code reviews and CI failures without leaving Slack. Gitar can post to a channel, send a direct message, and read Slack context back into a review.

Access Gitar Integrations

  1. Go to your organization’s Settings in the Gitar dashboard
  2. Open the Integrations section
  3. Find the Slack card under Communication and click Connect

Authorize the Slack App

Slack’s authorization page opens.
  1. Select the workspace where you want to install the Gitar Slack App
  2. Click Allow to authorize the installation. The Slack card’s button changes to Configure once the install completes Slack OAuth authorization page

Using Slack in Rules

Name Slack in a custom rule and the agent picks it up, the same way it handles Jira or Linear. See Rules for how to write one.
