Plans, seats, and usage limits for Gitar

Plans

New organizations start with a 14-day trial that includes all Team-plan features without seat limits.

  • Team — Code review, CI failure fixing, repository rules, and integrations. Usage is allocated per seat on a monthly billing cycle.
  • Enterprise — Unlimited usage, self-hosted CI deployment, SAML SSO, and dedicated support.

If the trial ends without upgrading, automatic processing stops until the organization subscribes.

Seats

Seats control which team members get Gitar on the Team plan.

  • An admin assigns seats to individual users from the organization's settings page at app.gitar.ai.
  • A user with an active seat gets automatic code review, CI failure analysis, and all other Team-plan features on their PRs/MRs.
  • A user without a seat can still open PRs/MRs, but Gitar will not automatically process them. The user will see a message asking a team admin to assign a seat.

During an active trial, seat limits are not enforced — every member of the organization gets full access.

Usage Limits

Gitar's Team plan includes a monthly usage allocation per seat. Gitar tracks your team's usage against an ideal pace for the billing period. If usage runs ahead of that pace, automatic processing is temporarily paused.

What gets paused: All automatic events — code reviews on new PRs/MRs, CI failure analysis, push event processing.

What still works: You can always comment "Gitar review" on any PR/MR to trigger a review manually, even while automatic processing is paused.

How it recovers: As the billing period progresses, the allowed budget naturally increases. Automatic processing resumes on its own — no action is needed from your team.

Enterprise plans have unlimited usage and are never subject to pace-based limits.
